The TORX ttap Drive System ensures that stripping out is almost impossible, and the fasteners can be easily removed. The Cortex system is easy to use and includes everything needed, such as screws, plugs, and setting tools. It is recommended to use an 18-volt cordless drill for installation. Impact drivers are not recommended for use on deck boards made from composite material with or without a capstock. Note that pre-drilling is not required in the majority of the project, except when fastening within 1/2'' of the end of a board and at mitered joints, for which a 3/16'' drill bit is needed for pre-drilled pilot holes.
